FAQ's

Do I need experience to volunteer? 

Because A Brush with Kindness work is short-term, 2 or 3 days, it’s helpful for volunteers to have some experience in home maintenance and repair, but it is not required. All we ask for is a willingness to get involved.

Do I need my own tools? 

No. Tools will be provided. Wear work clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Are you a minor (i.e, under 18 years of age)? If so, you will need parental consent to volunteer.

I further understand that it is the policy of Columbia County Habitat that all volunteers or visitors must abide by the verbal safety instructions and requirements of Habitat representatives that are outlined on the construction site.
